As the founding institution of Pi Day, the Exploratorium hosts one of the largest Pi Day celebrations each year. This year, as the production lead, I contracted all external programming partners, worked closely with internal departments to improve wayfinding, managed all pre-event purchases, and served as the key decision-maker on the day of the event.
My responsibilities included coordinating a 19-piece brass band, ensuring the volunteer team was equipped to pre-cut 800 pies pieces, and successfully managing the flow of over 800 participants both inside and outside the museum for the Pi Parade.
