After Dark is the Exploratorium’s signature adult night, taking place 50 times a year, with each evening featuring new programming and a unique theme. As the production lead for these events, I work closely with our program developers to ensure that all event details are communicated effectively to our marketing, A/V, graphic design, and editorial teams.

Because each After Dark event is different, I rely on my experience to appropriately staff each night—often coordinating and supervising on-call staff and volunteers as needed. When required, I also collaborate with our daytime floor staff to close off specific museum sections to support event logistics and safety.

My role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to ensure every event is memorable experience for our adult visitors.
